Aggressive Inline Skates Are Built for Stunts
Aggressive skates are designed for tricks and jumps. They feature robust and durable boots that can endure hard impacts while protecting your feet.
The construction of aggressive roller blades makes them ideal for grinding various objects and executing technical stunts. Aggressive skates are available in both quad and inline skate models, with aggressive inline skates being the more popular choice.
What to Consider When Buying Aggressive Skates?
The first consideration should be your skill level. Aggressive skates are available for all skill levels, from beginners to professionals. Beginner aggressive skates have harder shells for more support and protection, whereas some professional models may have softer boots for better control and maneuverability.
Another important factor is the frame setup. Anti-rocker frames are standard and facilitate easier grinding compared to a flat setup. Freestyle frames, however, offer greater creativity in grinding due to their larger center surface area.
Lastly, consider the wheel size. Generally, smaller wheels make stunts easier, while larger wheels are better for parkour-like jumps in urban settings.
Always remember to protect yourself when performing tricks and jumps. Check out our Skating Protective Gear selection for all necessary protection.
Aggressive Skates Vs Fitness Skates
The main differences between aggressive inline skates and fitness inline skates are the wheel size, boots, and frames. Aggressive skates typically have smaller wheels, usually between 55 mm and 80 mm in diameter, whereas fitness skate wheels are generally 80 - 100 mm. Small wheels may not offer much speed but are easier to grind with and provide better stability.
The boot and frame construction of aggressive inline skates also differs from regular inline skates. Aggressive skate boots usually feature a hard plastic shell, making them heavier, while fitness inline skates have more varied boot constructions.
Frame structures also vary. Fitness skates have flat wheel setups with equal-sized wheels, whereas aggressive skates often have anti-rocker frames with two larger and two smaller wheels.
