Description
Advanced wheels for speed skating. Constructed with the four-part TR3 system "Core improvement" alongside G13 Polyurethane. Matter laboratories, in collaboration with the Powerslide Matter racing team, is extremely confident that this wheel will be a leading force in both track and road racing for the foreseeable future.
The G13 PU delivers excellent grip without sacrificing roll, and provides tremendous pop out of the turns. It utilises S.E.R.T. technology, an abbreviation for Stored Energy Ring Technology. Neal Piper, the engineer of the wheel, offers the best explanation of this technology:
"A crucial component in any inline racing wheel is the transition layer where a softer structure merges with a much firmer mounting base. This is a very critical energy management zone for a wheel. At this essential hinge or pivot point, the power of the push and the 'stored rotational energy' within the deformed tyre must not be lost. When the transition or mounting layer between the PU tyre and the more rigid plastic hub is properly constructed, it achieves an ideal balance between tyre flexibility and energy release across the entire wheel."
Matter wheels are measured using the Footprint scale, where F1 denotes footprint 1.
F1 - equals approx. 85A
F2 - equals approx. 84A
F3 - equals approx. 83A
