Onyx Element 5mm Chestzip 2019 Wetsuit

As the largest member in the Onyx Element-series, it boasts a 5mm thickness complete with a chest zip featuring a flip-over - an enhanced closure system to prevent flush throughs around the neck area. An excellent option for colder water conditions.

Features:

• Aqua-A

Aqua-A is a water-based adhesive that is solvent-free, utilised in all Ion wetsuits.

• Seam reinforcements

To fortify stress points within the wetsuit, Ion has incorporated Melco tape to enhance durability. Ion advises: “If you accidentally leave the suit in the boot of your car on a hot day, they may start to peel off. Don't worry! Gently use an iron on the affected area as the adhesive is activated by heat.”

• Contour Cut

Wetsuits are designed to follow body contours, improving flexibility and comfort. All Ion wetsuits feature contour cuts.

• Drain Holes

To prevent water accumulation at fabric overlap areas, drain holes are included. The drain holes will not expand.

• Supra Tex

Materials used for more exposed sections of the wetsuit, such as the knee areas. The Supra Tex fabric offers superior abrasion resistance.

• GBS - Glued Blind Stitched

For effective bonding of neoprene panels to achieve excellent water resistance, glueing is combined with blind stitch sewing to join the panels.
