“A critical element in any inline racing wheel is the transition layer where a softer structure joins with a much firmer mounting base. This is a very crucial energy management zone for a wheel.
At this pivotal point, the power of the push and the 'stored rotational energy' within the deflected tyre must not be lost. If the transition or mounting layer between the PU tire and the rigid plastic hub is engineered correctly, it creates an ideal balance of tyre flexibility and energy release throughout the entire wheel.”
