Description
The Overland emerged from extensive discussions with the Loaded Ambassadors. Many of whom sought a board that would allow them to seamlessly combine their riding styles using just one longboard.
The deck is a fusion of two Loaded decks, the Kanthaka and the Tesseract. The Kanthaka excels as a techier freeride and street trick board, while the Tesseract is a popular choice for downhill enthusiasts. However, Loaded and the team aimed to find the perfect balance between the two, resulting in the Overland.
The Overland is akin to a Swiss army knife for longboarding and skateboarding, allowing for freeriding and sliding, thanks to the comfortable foot lock provided by its concave shape. Its old school directional pool shape also ensures an enjoyable experience at local skateparks and bowls.
This longboard comprises a layer of vertically laminated bamboo, offering a relatively stiff flex. This bamboo is sandwiched between two layers of triaxial fibreglass and finished on the underside with a layer of thermoplastic urethane, which is low friction, making the Overland ideal for sliding on rails. Additionally, this bottom layer dampens vibrations.
