Onyx Core Shorty 2mm Chestzip 2018 Wetsuit

Onyx Core Shorty is a 2mm thick wetsuit designed for a snug fit. Featuring long sleeves, it includes a zipper positioned on the chest. This chest zipper effectively prevents water from entering the top of the suit, helping to prevent flushing in the neck region.

• Aqua-A

Aqua-A is a solvent-free glue based on water and is used in all Ion wetsuits.

• Seam reinforcements

For enhanced durability at stress points inside the wetsuit, Ion has applied Melco tape. Ion advises: “If the suit is inadvertently left in a car boot on a hot day, this may cause peeling. Don't worry! Simply apply heat using an iron over the affected area, as this reactivates the glue.”

• Contour Cut

Wetsuits designed to follow body contours provide improved flexibility and comfort. All Ion wetsuits offer a contour cut.

• Drain Holes

To prevent water build-up at overlapping fabric areas, drain holes are incorporated. These holes will not increase in size.

• Internal Key Pocket

An internal, water-resistant pocket for keys is found on the inside of the wetsuit.

• GBS - Glued Blind Stitched

Neoprene panels are bonded for excellent water resistance using glue combined with blind stitching to stitch the panels together.

• Supra Tex

For the more exposed parts of the wetsuit, such as the knee areas, Supra Tex fabric is utilised, offering superior abrasion resistance.
