Go Project Freestyle bearings are crafted with exceptional durability, making them ideal for skating disciplines that involve substantial side-load and leverage (sharp turning, freestyle, slalom, big wheels, etc). They operate with remarkably low torque and are infused with an ultra-light oil. Utilising SIX Chrome Steel ball bearings instead of the usual SEVEN reduces friction. Each ball is slightly larger than typical bearings, making them excellent for a sport like inline skating which requires substantial vertical load-bearing.
Although Go Project Freestyle bearings are comparable to a bearing rated ABEC 7, Go Project chooses not to apply the conventional ABEC scale for rating bearings due to its irrelevance to the specific tolerances required by inline skating. The quality of production and materials considerably outweighs the significance of a rating based on 'revolutions per second'. The Freestyle bearings are simply designated a Speciality Rating of 4.5/5, reflecting their effectiveness when used as a skate bearing.
