However, AO employs a U-shaped welding technique that minimally compromises the deck while substantially enlarging the welding area. The headtube is forged from a single solid block of aluminium with a pressure of 5 tonnes, and the neck is constructed similarly! This results in support beams that are 30% stronger.

Further refinements include a machined headset opening post-anodisation for an exact fit, with the neck extended completely forward to maximise deck space. Additionally, the angled design begins right at the beam to avert any bending of the edges.
