SHELL
The X-Tech shell has been crafted with strength and support as priorities. Its distinct sporty aesthetics allow it to stand out. Composed of a unique composite material, it is remarkably rigid due to the 25% fibreglass integrated into its composition. As a result, this shell is exceptionally robust and supportive. It includes a 195mm mounting distance featuring an X-slot, enabling adjustments to the frame in lateral, forward, and backward directions to achieve the ideal skating stance for everyone. The bottom of the shell is ventilated and incorporates the X design to ensure torsional stiffness and precise power transfer with each stride.
CUFF
Designed with a focus on support, the adjustable X-Tech cuff is constructed from a unique composite material that is incredibly rigid due to the 25% fibreglass blended into it. Additionally, it includes a side stride bar made of aluminium for enhanced support. This cuff allows for adjustments in forward flex at the hinge area, so more advanced skaters can increase flexibility to the front and rear, while intermediate skaters might opt to limit the flex for added support and a shallower skating stance. The cuff also offers height adjustments for either a lower or higher cuff, thereby providing varying degrees of support. The buckle design is sleek, featuring a convenient fast lock mechanism.
PADDING
This skate is designed with a two-piece construction. The lower section mimics the fit of a shoe, ensuring a snug fit in the heel to minimise movement. The upper portion is a flexible cuff with thick padding that comfortably encircles the leg, providing excellent support while allowing freedom of movement. The tongue's padding is 3-D shaped, conforming naturally to the foot's contours.
LACING
This model is equipped with a high-quality PU upper. It features rapid lacing with woven loops, allowing for quick, easy, yet efficient lacing. The open sidewall combined with its unique two-piece structure not only offers exceptional ventilation and comfort but also ensures a secure fit. Outstanding stitching quality and meticulous attention to detail, along with a rear carrying strap, complete this remarkable skate. The upper is directly attached to the shell, facilitating excellent power transfer and enhancing foot support and stability. This shell Connected Construction (SCC) augments the skate's manoeuvrability.
FRAME
The XC Path frame is a single-piece frame, meticulously CNC machined to precision, constructed from a solid and sturdy extrusion. This frame sets a new standard; it is robust, rigid, responsive, and lightweight. The XC Path frame includes two mounting distance standards – the 165mm and the 195mm standard, allowing compatibility with various overboots if needed. The frame provides the option to adjust the wheel position to be higher or lower. The XC Path includes 8mm axles and integrated frame spacers, eliminating the need for extra components and delivering perfect roll right from the start. Two frame sizes are available – 17.7" / 450mm for shoe sizes up to 41 EU and 20.2" / 514mm for size 42 and above.
TYRES & BEARINGS
The skate is equipped with Powerslide Rustproof bearings lubricated with light grease. They feature serviceable shields, a robust composite cage, and seven steel balls, all honed and finished to perfection for a smooth and pleasant roll. Raceways and balls have a special coating to resist rust. The 6 ¼" air tyres, manufactured by Kenda – a renowned tyre producer – come with a sturdy 5-spoke rim. The valve hole is covered with rim tape, a common feature in bicycle tyres. The durable rubber outer layer has a long lifespan and includes an off-road profile for improved grip. The tyres can be inflated to a maximum of 6.3 bar / 90 psi. We also provide 150mm Super High Rebound PU wheels for skaters who prefer skating on asphalted roads and desire greater speed.
BRAKE
The Powerslide calf brake offers numerous adjustment possibilities to match the skater's preferences and skills, ensuring safety and optimal braking performance. Skaters can adjust the brake pad's orientation in all directions, including the angle. The height adjustment feature is ideal for finding the most comfortable braking position, whether with a straighter leg or more angled posture. Additionally, once worn, the brake pad's angle can be modified to maintain the best braking point for enhanced safety. The pad is straightforward to replace when worn out. The soft pad's height can also be adjusted when secured to the leg. Finally, the soft pad can be repositioned forwards and backwards. The skate comes equipped with a single brake system. Skaters have the option to switch the brake to the other side if preferred or purchase an additional brake system for the second skate if they feel more secure with two brakes.
